Suspension Setups

ok I have more questions:

I have a 72 LWB C10 that I am wanting to set up the suspension to be able to tow/ haul but still maintain driveability unloaded. The truck is coil springs on all 4 corners.

I am thinking about leaving the 1/2 T front coil springs and using 3/4 T rear springs with a nice gas shock.

My current setup is 1/2 T springs on all four corners and load adjusting shocks in the rear. This unfortunately still greatly limits the hauling capacity. It drives nicely but I still have a lot of squat when I hook up a trailer.

Re: Suspension Setups

You might ask a moderator to move this to the suspension forum for you. You'll probably get better/more answers there.

Re: Suspension Setups

Air bags on the rear, as a helper for your coils.

Re: Suspension Setups

what you planning on hauling? what is the tongue weight and total trailer weight? Air helpers may be a very valid solution, but depends on the load.
