70 chevy truck i need help please
ok heres the deal i have a 1989 c3500 454 tbi with a turbo 400, im going to pull the engine and put it in my 1970 chevy. SHOULD i go with the tbi or carb. the thing i need help with the tbi should i pull the complete wiring harness and put it on my 70. or just the engine harness and required parts. (ecm, 02 sensors aand so on). has anyone ever done this conversion?

You will need everything that plugs up to the computer. Plus all gas lines and return lines to tank.

Your going to get both opinions. They both have their pros and cons. I would go with EFI. That direction is a MUCH more work but worth it.... Good luck!

Carbs are super easy and still reliable as always, gas line, hot wire for choke, couple vac. lines, throttle cable and go.

Only you can answer this.
I'll leave my opinion out of it. Look at the pros and cons that you are already aware of, then, go search the internet on what you'll need to do to make this all work. If you plan on engine mods, look into pros and cons of either induction system with the planned mods. Don't forget a very realistic budget. What ever you think it'll cost, double it. |

There are better fuel injection systems out there then TBI. But again... that is MY personal opinion.
I'm also a carb guy too... So there ya have it... just another opinion. Gary

carb it....... more performance options later and easier to work on when and if needed... long run more cost effective to go carb I would say
