Anyone have any suggestions where to buy some drop spindles for chevy c10 73-87. CPP is on a 4 week back order before they get them plus a week to ship to me.

Check w/other board supporting vendors. Or..... try Summit, Jegs, or Hunters.

I'm replacing my drop spindle in a couple of weeks. I got it from Brothers. It's 2 1/4 drop. I'll be putting it up for sale next month. If you can wait. It only has about 100 miles on them.

summit racing should have CPP (western chassis) spindles in stock......

^^^ Nope, Summit said CPP spindles were on backorder. I called them as soon as I read this. My bag setup from Boris is on the way and I need to order spindles as well. May have to hit up NorCal here on the board for some DJM spindles, they are more expensive than the CPP ones, but if he has them in stock, what do-ya do?

I personally like Belltech 3" drop spindles on the 73-87 trucks.
Summit Racing and Jegs always have them in stock.
They are more money,... but they come coated instead of bare steel.
And,... I've never had any problem with Belltech products.

I am new to the lower side of life. So can someone please educate me on what a 3" Z drop for the front is. I got a 61 and a I interested in bagging it. I have seen it mentioned a few times but would like an explanation and some pictures on this thanks.

It's cutting the frame rails off, moving them up 3", & re-welding them back together. It's mostly done up front, but a few weirdo's will do the rear rails. There's more than 1 way to get the job done, but here is a pic of the rear rails being Z'd....

Cool, thanks bro. I kind of was thinking that but wanted to be sure . I am interested in doing this but my concern is the firewall . It was close before and I fear it will hit the distributor . Any opinion on it?

A very valid, common concern is servicing the ignition. Best suggestion is to swap to a small body MSD distributor because HEI's are moderately larger or creatively notch the firewall for additional service clearance.
