Power window switch

I'm trying to find out if the fuse for the power windows on my 83 is tied in with any other option. I don't know if this will solve the problem, but guess this is a good place to start.

Re: Power window switch

Looking at my Haynes manual, it shows only a 30 amp fuse with a pink hot wire to all the switches. Unless you have a power tailgate, which would get its own constant power 30 amp fuse. The power windows are ignition controlled "hot in run."
Power windows are one of the most discussed issues on this forum, so you might want to search the archives for some ideas, or post your symptoms here and get some opinions. I have replaced almost every power window component on my 83 except the actual wire to the fuse block. I can tell you that of all the power window and door lock switches I replaced only one actually needed replacing. I think everyone goes for the easy fix but it is usually wrong, in my experience.
