Re: one piece products -- windows

The brothers one is in my truck , but i saw the other day that there is one now with all glass not with the filler panel like the brothers one, but mines ok takes time for the rubber the glass slides on the work itself out , and also i used urethane instead of the glass setting tape to hold window in works better. hope this has helped

Re: one piece products -- windows

I used them on my build. They look great and have no filler piece. The install is pretty straight forward and every time I had a question they where available by phone to help. They also have a nice set of youtube videos with step by step instructions.

Re: one piece products -- windows

personally I thought he videos did not show enough detail and were produced cheaply for being the install videos from OPP. I did think the install was pretty straight forward. I had a few questions and they answered it quite quickly. I do have some cutting to do to make it go all the way down but they look awesome. TIP....Buy a new version. The newest version have updates over the past versions, which make it easier to install.

Those look great. Glad to hear the newest revisions are better because the first had HORRIBLE reviews from experienced fabricators not being able to get them to fit.

I want to see their flush glass on our truck with a one piece side window

Re: one piece products -- windows

With them not having the front filler piece, it makes the window bigger, so when u roll it down. How dose it not hit the door hinge and door catch?

Re: one piece products -- windows

They include a new door catch that works differently, it misses the hinges.

I can understand a lot of "engineers" trying to rework the whole system, if they think it needs the front run channel...that would be the cause of many frustrated installs; refusing to just follow directions. Personally I think "There's gotta be a way" too, but I know enough that when I get one I'm going to install it first, THEN form an opinion!

Re: one piece products -- windows

I installed them in mine and was one of there first sets , it had some "challanges: but was not bad to install. They work good, and any questions or issues I had all I had to do was make a phone call and they were more than willing to help. I like mine they are great when riding around with them down. No rattles or squeeks or wind noises, you just have to take your time and READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. I installed them in a set of new aftermarket doors and had more issues with the doors than the windows. We even did and install of this process in TRUCK BUILDER magazine.
(my truck is the green and white 69 on there website ). All in all, there a good product, would I do it again ? Don't know probably would. Took me about 6 hrs per door to install, align and get to working like I wanted, but I am real picky ( my wife says i am anal LOL !! ), but if its worth doin, DO IT RIGHT .

Re: one piece products -- windows

I heard that they are tight when all the way up or all the way down, but loose in between. Is that true? That's why I had decided not to do it.

Re: one piece products -- windows

They are a little loose when in the middle but not bad. I'm ok with that because they all the way up or all the way down while I'm driving.
