rear axle alignment
seems to me me after swapping a 5 lug 72 rear in my 67 the axle looks 2 b offset favoring the driver side there is a 1 1/2 differance behind the inside of the back tire n the frame we have 3" drop blocks air shocks new standard coils and a adjusable track bar on it. i dont recall this differance when the six lug rear was in it does the shorter 72 axle have something to do with this? or is my track arm wrong? maybe someone has some great info on this matter been tryin to get this long time project on the road and this bugs me

i would adjust your track bar and go from there.I shouldn't have changed though.

Adjust your track bar to re-center the the rear end. The 72 rear is wider than your 67, but I would not think that would matter if it was the same before.

thanks guys work on the 67 has been on hold do to brand new family member but when the kid has the time we will adjust the track bar the other way i think we had a hard time trying to put it on when we had it ajusted that way but will try again thanks besides he needs 2 show me more computer learnin so i can use this site to my liken

use a rachet strap to pull the rear which way you want then adjust and install the panhard bar to keep it there

Or a comealong. Or a small bottle jack between the tire and frame to push it over.

thanks guys thats a great idea with the strap or the cable pull we tryd briefly with a long bar but there was no good pry points. with the rear out of alignment it really does make for some difficult turning it wont turn a corner i guess between the front alignment being off and the rear not tracking it would be difficult. i like boogs idea with the bottle jack. still havent figured out how to get my fleet collection on here being a newbie wit very limited computer skills thanks guys
