Transmission Jack Placement
I am ready to drop my 350 trans out of my 86 c10. I have a trans jack. Any advice on the best Placement is apprec. I am assuming under the trans oil pan? I will be using a second jack(floor) to stabilize the tail. Thanks to all of you

Re: Transmission Jack Placement
You don't need a jack under the tail shaft...you might want to put one on the back side of the engine, incase your mounts are weak and the engine wants to tilt back.

Ditto -- or you'll be replacing your distributor, don't ask me how I know.
