1993 Mercury Sable for Sale or trade
I KNOW, its a ford product.
My wife has had this car since College and we simply don't drive it anymore. I've been trying to sell it locally and all I've received is an offer for $1,000.00 I'll trade this for almost anything interesting or sell it to a board member. Blue book is around 2,500.00 or $1,550.00 for trade in. I need a SWB bed engine transmission interior parts (black) Hell, I'd even trade it for a good daily driver It has about 117K miles on it loaded (leather, etc.....) 3.8 V6 new AC good paint new tires oh yeah, its pretty fast too (same engine as the SHO) Last edited by ianjenkins; 08-08-2003 at 03:42 PM. |

The engine is a 3.8 liter V6 200 hp 210 torque.
It runs great and has been well taken care of. I'd continue to drive it but I have a company vehicle now. The starter & radiator were replaced about 5K miles ago. I'm not sure the model of transmission but I could find out. Its a smooth shifting overdrive unit (geared towards luxury driving, not performance). Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Last edited by ianjenkins; 08-08-2003 at 03:49 PM. |

I had a 95 Thunderbird LX w/the 4.6 V8. Loved the car but when it turned 100k, I gave it to my oldest son. I make it a habit to give the kids our cars once they hit 100k. The T-bird got 24mpg and was a great car. It now made a great "kid car". I feel alot better seeing alot of metal around my kids and getting a bit less mpg than having them riding biles or driving rice rockets.
I must say, I miss the T-Bird and would almost consider buying yours for $1000, but I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo that will hit 100k within the next 1 to 1.5 years and son #2 will get that. Then I will do the HARD SELL to the wife for the H2Hummer! Good luck with selling it. Of all the Fords and Lincoln Marks Ive had over the years, I really liked the bird. We never had to walk with that car. BUT, Don't get me wrong, Im always seen in a Old Chevy truck if not my Corvette. The Fords were always belonging to my wife!
