It could be much worse ,you still have your health and your truck . I would try to get a 290 hp GM crate motor for it if you can afford to do so. You should be able to get one from your local Chevy or GMC dealer for about $1800 . You could go with a less hp crate motor as well and they come with a good warranty ,I think mine was 2years or 100,000 miles .
