Got 'some' background info on my '63 ....
After pulling the seat out and finding a 'For Sale' paper listing TWO trucks...one of them listed as a 'parts truck' .... I decided to call the number on the door...
After a few rings I got the message machine of the plumbing company listed on the door !! A few minutes ago (about 2 hours later) I got a call back from the ORIGINAL OWNER !! (of the 'other' truck .. turns out I got the 'parts' truck, which is the better model, anyway) Turns out ... He had a fleet of larger plumbing trucks, but need some smaller trucks as well so he bought a '63. 'His' truck was a white '63 (my bed and doors) which had a rack and tool boxes (I see the holes !) He later gave it to his son to tinker with ... who then bought a parts truck (my truck). Quickly realizing the 'parts' truck was better, he swapped over the bed and doors, lowered it, and started on the brakes .... After outta high school, the kid decided to by a new car and sold the truck(s) to someone in Citrus Heights (last registration/insurance still in truck) I'm gonna write THAT family a letter !!!! I picked up the truck in Watsonville off a hispanic kid who ran a familly owned used car dealership...How he got MY truck I have no idea.. (see my other old thread for that story ) Soooo ... I just wanted to find out some history on the truck. So as it turns out I spoke to the original owner of the BED and DOORS that are on my truck !!! Mabey I will get a responce from the NEXT owner of THIS/MY truck ... but before them..... the world may never know ........
