My welding table
HI! I bought this from Northern Tools for about 80.00, it's lightweight(about 35lbs) and makes working on welding/cutting things much easier! I would normally be on the floor trying to utilize jackstands to support whatever. I was wanting to practice my welding, looks like I'll get to practice alot here very soon! lol

Looks really nice. I was thinking about building one but for $80 maybe I can use my time working on something else. What are the measurements?

that's purty dog-gone slick! we don't have a Northern Hydraulics retail store close by, but I wonder if Harbor Freight will start to offer this ... both stores normally carry the same merchandise, but label it under their own name.

20" wide, 36" wide, and 36" tall. I also saw these in Northern tools catelogue. It can be orderd and again ,only weighs 36ish pounds. The mesh in the middle, there's about a 2" drop down to another catch plate so sparky's don't go all over the place.

Very cool table!
Can you replace the mesh if you need to? Good that the hooks are on the side too. How about pics when you get your first project going on it?  BTW--thanks Shane~I also didn't know they were one in the same. |

Well, soon enough I should be getting my 3 in 1 plasma cutter, tig and stick machine, plus i have my mig welder and small oxyacetelyne rig, I should be set! I promise to put some photos up when I start something. I did practice welding a little bit ago and the table made it really comfortable and most of the sparks went into that mesh area! below the mess is a catch for the sparks. That part can be undone by some screws, then the mesh you asked about, well, is tack welded, so I guess if it gets burned up over time, and new piece could be put on/in. But I wouldn't be using my cutting torch over the mesh, just the mig. I do like that it's fairly lightweight(36lbs) and I can move it easily out of the way! The bad part~ it's another table in my garage and stuff finds a way to get on top of it! lol ; ) dne' Quote:
