Angry Truck is looking aweful good right now!!

LoL, dunno what I'm trying to say with the topic. I haven't even SAT in my truck in like 2 weeks...it's just been sitting outback doing nothing. Lately, while looking at it, it seems that I'm liking the 3/5 drop more and more...and not wanting to drop it anymore. Hopefully, in the next week or so, the temps will stay cool and I can find some time to get under it and swap out that flexplate, as well as get the Carb Metering PLATE kit and put some #68 jets in the back of the carb, and hopefully get it retuned down to WOT Air/Fuel Ratio of around 12.5:1 (instead of 11.5:1 )
So...that's why you guys haven't been reading much posts from me lately...too busy trying to get my vette back, and getting ready to go back to work/school next month. (Registering for classes and such)

I think the biggest disuasion...was when I went out to my friends shop to check on my vette..he had a 00 Silverado in their, that was dropped 2/4 with a set of 255/50 17's on it...it looked absolutely STUPID! And if I went with the 5/7 drop...I'd have to run 255/50 17's, which are WAAAY too small for my liking!

Well, I guess you could say it's too short. The tire is 27" tall, while the tires I have now, are 28" (255/55 17) which also happen to be the same heighth as 275/60 15's...

So you don't want to go lower because you don't want to go with a shorter tire? I think I'm with you now.

I'm just from the old school of thought. My theory is if you can't go low, then lift it instead. I'm just the extreme type, but taht's not for everyone....

Ok, why do you have to use bags for the 255/55's?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
