Re: clear tail lights

Im kinda done with the clear tails. I went to NAPA and got a pair of brand new factory lenses And they are so clean they kinda look custom.
I used to get pulled over a lot for not having a red reflector..Then they tried to nail me for not having mud flaps.

I do however like the smoked lenses especially when it is on a black or grey truck

Re: clear tail lights

I tossed them..From all the mud and tree branches they didn't look very good anymore Also they got water in them all the time and blew out bulbs..They were cheaply made..The ones in your link look a lot better quality

The ones I had looked like they used a factory mould with clear plastic.

Re: clear tail lights

I purchased these clear taillights last month for $23 a pair. They look better on the truck than the pic and fit great.

Re: clear tail lights

Back when I built my truck in 02 the actual original clears (euros) were not even available anymore due to DOT issues from what I learned. even 88 - 98 ones (which looked phenominal) were also discontinued. I wanted the clears so bad I would have never shaved my taillights if I could have gotten em.

Re: clear tail lights

I'm not too sure clear lights would look best on a black truck.... they would look great on a gray or all white truck , but maybe black tinted lights would go best on an all black

Re: clear tail lights

I guess the moldings make it look better, plus the wheels lol.
are your turn signals also clear?

Re: clear tail lights

The side markers by the front wheels are clear. (I believe that's what you are referring to). My tails use red bulbs, so I haven’t been bothered by the local constable.
