Re: Wtb 70 rochester q jet
I have one that I just took off the engine and replaced with an Edelbrock as I am rebuilding the engine. I am not sure how to tell if it is an original 70 q-jet but it was on a 70 c-10 with a 350. When taken off the engine (few weeks ago) it was working fine as the engine ran fine. It's a little dirty but would make a good rebuild. Make me an offer. I can get you pics tonight if interested.

I have a few laying around.
Can you tell me a way to verify the date?

On the drivers side main body near the throttle linkage there will be some # and letters stamped into the carb should start with 7040

Re: Wtb 70 rochester q jet
Mine has some numbers in a little circle that say 7040687 does that sound right? Above that is GM and on the opposite side of the carb it says Rochester Quadrajet.

Re: Wtb 70 rochester q jet
I have one that I will be taking off later this week. I am replacing it with some Edelbrock stuff. The stamping I found on it is... 17057202 3083 AOL. If this is what you are looking for I would be willing to part with it once I get it off. The truck runs good with it right now. It's on a 350/350 combo. Let me know.

70402080B 1A on top. 0780 underneath top number.
From a 350/350. Replaced with Edelbrock by PO. Only ask me simple questions. What you see is what you get. |
