rear suspension question

As you can see from the picture below I have just completed my front suspension drop. The rear is next, I plan on using the Jeep TJ springs. My question is will I need to flip the front mounts for the trailing arms to keep the pinion angle in check or will it be okay the way it is? I'm going to have the trailing arms out to replace the bushings while I'm there so it won't be a ton of extra work to flip the brackets. also will I need to install a frame notch at that level of drop? Thanks for any input guys!

If all you are going to do is a c notch you do not need to flip the crossmember. i.e. the bed floor remains stock.

I wasn't planning on flipping the whole crossmember, just the brackets that the trailing arms bolt to. Or have I misunderstood the whole concept? I was only going to do the c notch if needed to run the Jeep springs.

dont quote me on this but if your just doing the jeep springs you dont have to c notch it! i believe you only have to c-notch it if your dropping it 7 or more inches! i have 3in. drop springs and 2in. lowering block and i c-notched it! i really didn't need to notch it, but i plan on putting bags on it one day!! you dont need to flip the brackets or the crossmember for the jeep springs!! and if i remember right the jeep springs you cant load the bed up with alot of weight!! theres a writeup or two on the site about notching the frame and making it weaker! so if you notch it you wont really be able to tow a heavy trailer or anything!! anybody else can chime in if im wrong!!

I have jeep springs and 2" blocks. I ran that way for a year then I did the notch. The notch was a good thing. I can carry what ever I want now and I never bottom out. Without the notch you have to be careful.

from what i see in all the parts catalogs is you only need a notch if your going 5 inch's or more...and from what i read the jeep springs give you 4inch's at most...and far as the notch's go for towing CPP has came out with a heavy duty notch made from 3/8 steel instead of the reg. 1/4 steel notchs for guys that still want to tow something.

if you have a two piece driveshaft the driveshaft arc follows the arc of the trailing arms, it was designed that way, so reference angle (to the ground, to the frame, etc) will change but pinion angle should not .
