1978 k10 i just bought

i love this truck. its a 1978 k10 can anyone give me any info on the 78s just anything it has a 454 in it i am assuming is orignal but i do not now at all. could be can not confirm or deny it. any anybodys two cents is greatly appreciated

post some pics of it.. There is a VIN decoder too we can help you with if you post everything but the last six numbers of it and if you can find the build sheet someone can chime in with what the original equipment was

Check the frame near the steering box to see if it's weak or cracked or anything, that's a common problem for the 4x4's. It also wouldnt hurt to check the transfer case fluid.
As for finding out if the motor is original, check the VIN and run it through a decoder, or as rusty said post it here except for the last 6 digits and we'll be able to tell you.
