53 bagged: LT1 motor mounts installed

Here a couple of pics since last update been so hot here in dallas only time to work on the 53 is in the morning on the weekends, but cooler weather is on the way. Will work on getting the rest of the body work done, cut the back bed panel for the bumper brackets to go through, mount the brake booster to the firewall and get the steering column, weld in better shock bracket for a bigger shock dont like the way it is set up with the bracket supplied in the kit with the tiny shock, and then will go to primer and paint hopefully will get it in full primer by winter..

Same motor as I have. The iron head LT1s actually flow better than than Alumnium heads. I bought a used cam from a 95 Corvette for 35 bucks. From what I read this should be good for about 30 more hp.

Where did you get you motor mounts?

Nice build..

Nice mounts and good work!
Don't forget to ensure the vapour line is attached somewhere into the cooling system or the intake can over heat and cause a leak.
If you want to get rid of the "Home Plate" intake resonator you can simple install a hockey puck...it fits perfectly....or you can get an intake boot from a '94-96 Camaro/Firebird. Don't forget to buy some Corvette Fuel Rail Covers to make it look purdy again.
You can remove the engine oil cooling lines and holder if you like and just use a standard 350 filter!
What transmission are you using?

VWbeamer:
Did you need to get your computer reprogrammed after installing the Corvette cam?

I'm also running a LT1 out of a Vette and my truck is also bagged. I just got mine on the road so if there is anything that I can help you figure out let me know.

I love the motor mounts. Are those headers made by Patriot? They look like the same ones that I used.

I'm running an LT1(Z28)also, I too like your mounts. I'm using a rubber 4" to 3" rubber plumbing coupler from the engine to MAF and then to the filter...cost about 4 bucks. I've drove mine twice and liking it so far.

95 Z28 LT1 I love this motor! It runs like a top and it gets up and goes. I took the rad, motor, 4L60E, and the rear end from a wreck and made it all work with a 71 Trans Am clip. Aeromotive adjustable fuel regulator, MSD ignition, rerouted the fuel lines to regulator with Street and Performance's kit, March Performance Serpentine kit, Sanderson Block Hugger Headers. I dropped the Sunbird remote steering pump down on the passenger side of the motor and ran it off of the front of the balancer with a V-belt and made a custom mount off the bottom of the head and top of the block (See pics).

Pics won't work for some reason, I'll try later
