Re: I have a new gas tank and i have questions

another idea on a gas tank for the blazers, I did this to a '71 I used to have.
I removed the old original tank and got a 31 gallon tank from the junk yard.
I welded a piece of angle across the frame after measuring straps and all that and then put the bigger tank up in there, the rear strap mounts work and then just drilled holes in the angle up front. fits nice and it gives you 31 gallon capacity.
the only problem was the filler neck is on the other side, so I had a friend move the filler neck to the drivers side of the tank, the tank was empty and rinsed but we pumped Co2 into the tank while welding to stay away from a fire....lol
