Truck not running right
Here's what I've got: '89 Chevy K1500 w/5.7 and 700R4. Just put in new plugs, EGR valve, and O2 sensor. It runs great at idle (in or out of gear) and at higher RPMs. The problem is when it's in or out of gear it runs rough when I barely hit the gas from idle. I would just like someone's opinion on this. Is it TPS, CTS, or something else? IAC maybe? (Sorry, new to fuel injection.)
Thanks.

Re: Truck not running right
No check engine light. I did test the TPS on Ohm's scale though. I swapped leads around and got increasing resistance on one terminal and decreasing resistance on another, starting from idle to WOT. I found a spot in there where it went to an open circuit then picked back up. I think I might have just found the problem, but would like someone else's opinion before I go tearing into things.

After reading this, I'm convinced that it's the EGR valve. The orifice size for the vacuum hose is a dead giveaway. Plus, it didn't start this until after I changed the valve out. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

Re: Truck not running right
Yep. That's what it was. Plugged off the EGR and it runs like a champ. The only problem is......I threw the box away. Darn. Maybe I can make it over to my grandparent's house before the garbage truck gets there...
