mcgaughys drop spindles, the same as stock spindles?

once installed will i have to get an alignment assuming i didnt mess with anything else?

If all you changed was spindles, and the alignment was good before, it should technically be good after...But I'd get it done anyway. If they have alignment shops that have a big ol' bear as the sign, those seem to be pretty good. Pepboys, shops that deal with modern cars, places that ricers like to take their cars too, etc...usually do a crappy job. Just because they slap some mirrors on the wheels, and all the screens on their computer are green, doesn't mean the alignment is good.
I'd look for some old farts that do alignments in a pit with big calipers for best results.

well im going to have to now, i hit the tie rod end with a hammer and smashed the threads on one side...
