Is there a way to roll up the back window on these power windows manually? the motor isint strong enought to push it up any more I guess. 84 silverado blazer.

sounds like the window guilds and lift arms need lub.

I have had to have somebody hold the switch down while I helped it up, both on side windows and the rear tailgate one. It will get it closed so rain etc won't be an issue......but you won't be able to open the tailgate.

when it comes time to fix the problem do the reverse much easier to fix it when the tailgate is down then trying it from inside.

If you need to do it once, unscrew the panel, remove the cable from the motor, and hook it up to a drill. If you want to do it multiple times, you'll need to do some maintenance, get a new motor, or figure out how to mount the drill to your tailgate.

Drill to the tailgate........ Now thats an idea. Some plumbers strap. Rivits and duct tape and viola!! Lol thanks for your help guys. Its raining here most every day this week and the blue pos tarp is already ripping. Ill have my boy hold the switch up while I help tje window and lube up the arms this weekend. Thanks for your help

If you just want to get the window up it's really not much work to put it up with the drill. It'll take you more time to take the cover off than anything else. Bonus points for being able to find out whether it's a motor issue or a slides\weatherstrip\cable issue.

I took mine apart last week to troubleshoot why the window wouldn't go up and broke the cable with the drill. Guess my issue was a sticky cable.

If it goes up easy with the drill, maybe you need a new motor. If it goes up hard with the drill, bust out the lube.

WELL GUYS i LUBED EVERYTHING RIGHT AWAY AND CLEANED THE CONTACTS ON THE MOTOR AND IT WENT RIGHT UP!!

What did you use for lube? And what did you lube? I should make sure mine are good.

I used wheel bearing gease on the teeth and white grease on the tracks
