69 C30 redo

Hello, all. Ive got a 69 I ton flatbed that I think I would like to change to a dually pickup. What problems willI come across?Do I need to change the rear end? Ive also thought of finding a later model truck for the front disc brakes also.Im planning to use this truck for pulling a car trailer not for major hauling.
Thanks for any help. Muley

Re: 69 C30 redo

The wheelbase is 6" longer than a longbed. If you could find a Longhorn bed, that would be perfect. The rear axle will work, but the wheel houses will need to be widened inward (tubbed). The outer tire will stick out just a bit. Those rubber fender lips work out great...about 2".
You can swap in a complete front end assembly.
