66 back-up light question

Good evening truckers, quick electrical question for ya. I put a T5 in my truck and fortunately have the pigtail that came with it. Haven't dug around under the dash yet, but know my 3-speed of course had no electrical hookup like newer trans's do. Since b/u lts were stock on 66 - I checked my wiring diagram - no trace of b/u lights so it may just be a 64-66 or 63-66 wiring diagram and not have them shown.

My question - anyone know how/where on the vehicle the backup lights were actuated in 66? I need to tap into that to make it work with my T5.

Where's the backup light switch located?

Thank you!

Yep, I went off my neutral safety switch. Green wire to the back.

Re: 66 back-up light question

Scot and Taz, thanks very much. Taz THANKS for the kind offer, I do still have my stock wiring and I have the weather-pack connector for my trans, just figuring out the best place to marry the two - so I will not need to take you up on that - but thank you very much, very nice of you to offer.
