1951 Chevy Truck

I have a friend that has a 51 Chev Truck ..It has a 348 ci engine in it..

He is wanting to install power steering . what is some of the best ideas of what car or truck power steering unit is a good fit .. along with what is easy to find that will fit ..?

348 W block? That is a big motor for these trucks. Not sure what you'll do for steering. I think we need some more details to help.

I will see him this coming week I think and then I will find out more info..I was hoping that some of you guys had big V-8's and used some type of modern steering ,,for reference .. thx for the reply just the same.

For a SBC, you can run a later box from the 67-72s but you'll have to make a joint and connector to the end of the stock column. I've heard of guys using the 67-72 columns as well. Not sure how much wider a W block is.
