89 GMC steering problem
I have a89 gmc 3500 4wd mason dump. My problem is that when you have mild pressure on the brakes the steering will lock up. After you tug on it hard it will come back. Also when your trying to go straight it will be trying to pull hard left/right and you have to try to fight it back then it will just yank are the other way. Where should i start. Also in the driveway with pressure on the brakes it is hard/ impossible to turn. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Don't know if this will help but my 1 ton with hydraboost would also jerk once in awhile though not as bad as yours. Power steering fluid was low.

sounds like the pump/valve is going bad in your Hydro boost system

thats what i am thinking because i just put a new pump in it this morning and it didnt fix the problem. I guess the hydro boost unit is next

what are the chances that a bad front wheel joint u-joint or king pin is bad. Im lost here.
