There is no such thing as too much. The more cranking amps, the better it is for the motor when starting......for the "most" part. I find myself ending a lot of posts this way because someone always likes to come along with that 2% exception but that battery looks like standard group sizing for most vehicles.

i agree with the 12 volts is 12 volts ...... as long as its not a deep cycle, they are not meant to be constantly charged. they are designed to be drained then charged. it will reduce the battery life.

As long as it fits in the battery tray, it is ok to use. It is a group 27, which is supposed to be 12.1" wide. I just measured my battery tray and it is about 2" too narrow to fit that size battery. But, if it fits in, it will work just fine (just like everyone else says).

Bigger the better, you cant harm it with a 12volt battery that isnt deep cycle.

A 27 is too big. A 24 or 74(side post) is what fits the stock tray. You may be able to make some other batteries fit but a good 24/74 is tough to beat. You can start a 350 with 5w30 oil in sub -40 no problem with 800 cca. be careful 24's,27's and 74's come in F models with the posts reversed too. They will work but cables can be a problem. Universal combo post 24's can be made to work but cable lengths are not always optimal and may need to be changed.
