Re: WTB 3 series open carrier
I have a complete 72 rear with 3:07 (i think) gears and 5 lug axles if you want to go that route.

Re: WTB 3 series open carrier
Yeah Basicly just looking for an open 3 series carrier for the trucks that I can put a richmond ring on and a powertrax unit into. I dont need the spider gears but I will need the cross shaft and factory shims ect...

Re: WTB 3 series open carrier
My shims were cracked. The spider shims? I jumped to a 3.73 Eaton posi. I have 308 gears and the open carrier from my 68. I have cross shaft and spider and ring gear and pinion. Shoot me an offer. I'm about 2.5 to 3 hours south of Chicago I have a sister who works in Mundeline lives in Arlington Heights if that got them closer to ya. If not I can box and ship. If you are not in a big hurry.

Re: WTB 3 series open carrier
I know I'll be corrected, but is an open carrier the same as a posi carrier....I know there are different series....OR does it not matter since he's gonna use the PowerTrax unit in there?

Re: WTB 3 series open carrier
Open is one tire fire. A differential not a posi or limited slip. The open carrier guts get chucked and the Powertrax goes in. You don't need to set up a whole new rear just replace the inners of the open carrier.
