Side trim

Has anyone shortened it to keep it from going over the fender well? I think I've seen it somewhere before.

You need two tools in life: duct tape and WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, you use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, you use WD-40.

Always tinkering and photochopping. I've seen people just use the one long thicker piece that runs the length of the truck and it looks cool. I think I'm going to go with the shortened trim when the time comes, because I want to paint a different color in the middle of the two pieces.
