I guess we all say FINALLY when it gets to this point, but I am just excited to be getting my blazer back. Hope to be able to get some pieces on this weekend....maybe driving by next week or so? I'm not sure how long all of this may take, but this is the part I've been looking forward to.

the painter is clear coating the hood right now- how long do I wait till its okay to start putting stuff on ...like trim and such?

Raggedjim- I thought the door caps I saw in pictures were like a rubber cap that went over the existing caps on my doors. So...I guess I already had caps I just didn't know it! Duh!!! Mine were smooth to and I had only seen the ridged ones. So now I just need to get mine painted

The truck looks great! Mine looks like that except with all the old paint still on it. Actually I'm down to bare metal on the rear quarters and will be stripping the hood and cowl this weekend. When I get the doors I bought from you I'm be just about ready for primer.

i think their is supposed to be a rubber cap screwed to the top of that door pillar my blazer has rubber caps on it

I think that the drip rail deflectors are what you are talking about. Those actually screw to the top itself above the plastic caps. They are readily available from most soarces. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

1970blazin, mine look just like yours, except they're red!

Did you have much body work to do on your blazer? It looks VERY straight to me.

Raggedjim-
We had to get two new front fenders, two new doors, and a new tailgate. The rear drivers-side had been hit so it needed body work. Well this blazer doesn't feel like it should be considered the same truck since it has all new panels

This is an original Oregon truck- lots of rust, I guess not bad for this year and all it has been through, but we knew if we spent this much $$ on a paint job we didn't want it to rust thru in a few years! This sucker is gonna last!! Someday my two boys (ages 2 and 4 now) will fight over who gets this truck! Maybe we will redo another later for the loser? Hee! Hee! My husband is a welder and he redid almost all of the floor- new rockers, door pillars and kick panels-(if that is the right name for the side of the feet area)

Anyways- I am glad all that is done----now to put it all back together. We put the fenders on tonight and are going to get the interior Line-Xed this week and get a windsheild put in...Someday I'll get to drive (or at least ride)
