Re: Bolt in transmission tunnel

4-speed, 2wd and 4wd trucks had them.

Also TH-400 equipped 2wd trucks had them.
(these were usually 402 big block trucks)

Re: Bolt in transmission tunnel

The "low hump" cabs can be easily modified to accept the large "bolt-in" hump.
I've done it on two of my trucks.

Re: Bolt in transmission tunnel

Buy a cab and cut out the area for the tunnel and bolt in the high hump tunnel cover. Will take a little work, but it can be done.

A few weeks ago my son bought a truck that was originally a low hump but the P.O. cut it out and bolted in a high hump cover since he was going to put a BB with a 400 tranny in it for drag racing. Like many projects it never happened so my son got a mostly rust free straight swb '71 for $600.

Just bolt your high hump pan out, lay it on the floor of the low hump(where it fits), & draw a line....If you cut about an inch inside of that line all around, you should be good to go! as far as the VIN, the only one I know of is riveted to the dr side pillar? crazyL

close...
all 4x4
all 4 speeds (regardless of motor)
Big block/auto.

Small block or inline with TH400 did not require high hump floors
