What all does this control ? Where can i get a new one im putting in a BB should it be one for a BB ?

Your whole wiring harness plugs in there, I believe they call that piece there a "bulkhead". I don't think you will need a new harness for a BB, but I could be wrong.

I didn't change mine when I swapped in a BB.
