Re: Black wood beds!!!! Pics Please

Here's a few more pics of the wood floor for the '65 I restored. Used Benjamin Moore Fresh Start Primer and their Exterior Low Gloss Black Enamel/Latex paint. Thinned it with Floetrol so it would lay out better, and sprayed it with my Sata KLC RP primer gun (2.5 tip).

Primed, grain raised up, needed lots of sanding. Brushed the primer on for the first coat.



Sanded with 80 grit on a 6" DA sander.



Reprimed but sprayed it this time, lightly sanded with 180 grit on the DA, just enough to remove the orange peel from the primer, not smoothing any of the wood's grain though.



Painted, two coats of Ben Moore's Low Gloss Exterior Latex/Enamel thinned with Floetrol.
