Re: Painted the steelies on my C20 check em out

I was gonna do mine the same way, but I wasn't sure if it work if you left the wheel weights on, or if you would get funky edges around the weight in a short period of time.

Sorry bro, I was one of those that bagged on you about the wheels. Now the wheels look great along with that fresh bumper. Now you need to ....ahhh just kidding.

Re: Painted the steelies on my C20 check em out

LOL. Next is a reciever hitch and a better looking rear bumper, like the ones that came on the suburbans. Also a rear sway bar, installing an oil cooler and plus I need to weld a fitting in the pan to run my trans temp gauge. The interior is still perfect, minus the passenger side door pull I need. Plus I m really liking those digital gauges Im seeing....

Thanks for the kind words fellas, shes my DD now since I totalled my 01

Re: Painted the steelies on my C20 check em out

Didnt take long. It was so hot today, I just pulled em off, degreased them, hit them with the wire wheel, taped the tires off and hit them with primer. Let that sit in the sun an hour and then a thick coat of white gloss paint. I let em sit in the sun for a few hours then bolted em back on.

Heres what I used. You'll only actually need 2 cans of each

Re: Painted the steelies on my C20 check em out

Looks really good! I love the look of the entire truck. If you were closer, I have an oil cooler adapter and hoses you could have for next to nothing.

There's something to be said about a clean, stock look to our trucks. Congrats on doing a Class "A" job.
