air bags on a car hauler

been think'n I wanna do a heavy duty 2 link on my car hauler so I can squat the rear to assist in load'd my MonteCarlo ,also later on I can rework the bed with no suspension crap behind the axle.
I would go with a bag over axle set up, what bag's would handle the truck plus 3000lbs ?

Re: air bags on a car hauler

semi trucks uses airbags so i think a set of the could de the bag over axle

also Monster trucks back in the 80s early 90s used airbags and some still do but its very little used because of limited travel and thats 12000lbs landing on concrete sometimes

Re: air bags on a car hauler

What a great idea! sorry i dont have the info you need but i also have seen big semis and a roll back tow truck with bags over the axles. I would run that question by the bag supplier.

Re: air bags on a car hauler

contact local tow truck companies and find the names of local shops that equip their trucks. I know our local supplier can supply air bag kits for 1 tons up to 25 tons trucks. If you can find your local jerr dan dealer/installer ill bet they can help you.

Re: air bags on a car hauler

for vertical clearance and weight capacity purposes, it may be better to put the bag behind the axle with pivot point well in front of the axle.
