Does anyone have any advice on how to upgrade my original 1949 Solenoid to a solid state solenoid?
Thanks Pat |

Not sure what a solid state solenoid is but if you are thinking about running a solenoid on the starter that starts with the key I think you can probably use a car starter and a pushbutton. You may be able to switch solenoids but I have never tried it.

Doesn't the existing solenoid cause fires and updating to solid state make it safer?

I am going to see if I can rig up a remote starter switch and fab a linkage to use the foot pedal . But that will come later. |
