275/45/20 on a 8.5 wheel.

Hey guys Im running 255/35/20 on my smoothies. 20x8.5 rim. I dont really like the tire size. I have not driven on them wheels yet just putting the truck back together. I was looking a replacing my new never used set of tires with a new size... crazy I know. I was looking at 275/45/20. Its a 29.5 tall tire vs the 27.3 that my other size tire is. Its more about side wall look for me. Anyone have pictures of what the 275/45/20 would look like? Thanks in advance guys.

Here is a pic of what they look like.

Re: 275/45/20 on a 8.5 wheel.

It won't drag. Sits 2 inches off the ground, I built spacers on the rear bags. The tank is mounted on top of the frame. I moved it from the bottom mounting to the top. The tubs were removed and I'm making new ones. Check out the build thread in my signature it will show you what I mean.

Re: 275/45/20 on a 8.5 wheel.

I don't know if this will help you. Here are some early shots of 275/45/20's on the rear with 10" wide wheels
with 6.25" back spacing and a 1" spacer (different tire size on 20/8.5 in the front - a little smaller tires-, w/no spacers).

If you look at these, make sure you note that, while it's a 4/6 drop, all four wheels are off of the floor
(suspension extended) on all the pics.

Same tire size and wheel diameter. Different wheel width. And, surely, a different b/s set up.
But maybe worth a look.
