Smile 67-72 original tow hooks for sale

I have original tow hooks off my old 72 Jimmy from years ago. I bought them from the dealer just because they looked cool and were to nice to let the buyer of the truck get them then. I want to get $250.00 that includes shipping and insurance for them they are like new with gade 5 bolts and nuts. Thanks Ed ke6bnl@juno.com

If people keep jacking up the price of tow hooks, our insurance companies are going to start asking if our trucks have tow hooks, and start charging more for insurance! LOL!
And then people will have to start putting on "tamper proof" bolts so people don't start stealing them to sell for drug money! LOL!

According to Jim Aust, towhooks are neither rare nor desireable options . . . .

Jerry Moss is the Enron of tow hooks! ...and who is Jim Aust? He obviously doesn't know these trucks very well.

Tow hooks are a very undesireable option to put on your 67-72 truck. I have taken it upon myself to rid the US of all tow hooks for these trucks. Anyone who has any and does not want to be caught dead with them can ship them to my address and I will refund postage and track and dispose of all of them. I will keep excellent records until all tow hooks are properly accounted for and disposed of. Do your part to stamp out tow hooks!

Those d**n tow hooks continue to elude me!!! I have bought the wrong ones, been offered really rough ones and tried to buy a nice set at a high price---only to find someone else would pay even a higher price! I am not going bankrupt for a set, so I will continue to hunt for a nice set at a "fair" price.

Jerry, how do they bolt up? I have a 70 and there is roughly 3" between the bumper and spring mount Maybe less. Doesn't seem like enough room.

there are 2 holes on each frame horn and there's enough room for them to fit. they're close to hitting the bumper but clear a little bit.

Aust is a fairly well-respected writer/editor in the enthusiast press. He writes often about these trucks, and he usually has his sh!t together, but he sure blew THAT call. . . . .

I will start looking for them! hell for half the price these ones went for would be great. I sold the set that was on my truck when I got it, to a friend for $40.00. dumb a$$, mabe mabe just did not know what the were worth. He still has them and I told him if he sold the truck I would give him $50.00 for them. so that is cool. I will find more though :p Give me time..

I don't know Jack about tow hooks ( sorry Jack...My friend ). But why would one want these. If I had a 4x4 I could understand that. They just seem WAY over priced. But as I said I dont know anything about them. They look nice though.
