NOS 73-80 sheet metal value

I have been looking for original sheet metal to replace the aftermarket stuff that came on the 78 blazer I bought last month. Nothing wrong with what I have but the fit and body lines are off. Wanted some good used stuff but came across some new GM stuff being sold with a parts truck.

Trying to make a decent offer to them. I am used to 57-72 stuff, just finished getting of pretty much all I had, so not sure about the 73-up stuff.

I don't need to know exact but ball park would be great.

all of this is 73-80 stuff

front fenders
front and rear chrome bumpers
both doors
core support
hood
tailgate
complete side trim for a swb
chrome grill
head light doors
dash pad
a/c compressor/condenser/high and low side hoses

items show some surface rust and dents from storage and dash pad looks to show age damage. I didn't want to seem super interested ...........

Ball park?

and NO, If I buy this package, nothing is for sale! I have a 76 swb that I will use the left over stuff on,I have a nice cab, bed and rolling frame but nothing else. If I don't buy the package then I will ask them if it is ok to post their #

thanks,
Steve

Re: NOS 73-80 sheet metal value

front fenders $50each
front and rear chrome bumpers $75each
both doors $75each
core support $50
hood $100
tailgate $100
complete side trim for a swb $50
chrome grill $30
head light doors $5each
dash pad $75
a/c compressor/condenser/high and low side hoses $40

These are roughly the prices I would pay for "really good" used parts.

cool, double for NOS? this stuff has never been used, sitting on shelves in a construction warehouse, so lots of dust, grit etc.

Thx,
Steve

Steve, some of that stuff is gold and others not so much. You have a LOT of pieces to break down. If you plan to ebay the parts, you can easily double your money if you buy it all for under a grand.

Re: NOS 73-80 sheet metal value

My plan is to use it! I am done turning over stuff. See my post, when is enough enough, it ruined my hobby and in the end over whelmed me.

I bought this 78 blazer and have parts for a 78 swb 4x4, so instead of a warehouse full of and i mean full of 47 to 86 parts, just these two truck and 2 parts trucks that will be stripped and scrapped, I promise.

I was thinking in the area of 1000 myself, plus the rusty complete truck with it for a couple of hundred more. Thanks for the advice, wanted to make sure it would be a fair offer for both parties.

Thx,
Steve

x2...........If you can get it all for under a grand, you have made out. The last NOS fender I picked up cost me $20. Sometimes the seller has no idea what he has unless he bought it himself. NOS fenders are running $ 300 + right now

Re: NOS 73-80 sheet metal value

Just came back from talking to them. Somebody else talked to them last night, my offer was way out of their ball park, they wanted such a high price, that even with the parts truck it wasn't worth it.

I guess between what they saw on cable and the internet...........they wanted more than if it was 67-72 nos.

I tried and then stepped away

Thanks,
steve
