Got a decent deal last night...

No it isn't what you are thinking! I was rebuilding the TBI unit on my 454, and when reinstalling the drivers side injector. The bottom half of the pod broke off. I searched CL and found a guy about 30 miles from me that was selling the intake, ecm, harness, tbi, and a distributor for $250. I didn't need the harness or distributor, turns out it was a coil in cap with vacuum advance. So I got him down to $200 for the ecm, intake, and tbi with him delivering it. I am going to clean the tbi up and swap my new parts onto it today.

Re: Got a decent deal last night...

Turns out the stuff I bought wasnt in that bad of shape. It looked to me like the engine it had been on was a backfiring heap, the injector plugs were totally melted away. But the rest of it looked pretty good. Needed a lot of cleaning to get it up to snuff. But all in all, I can't complain. I will have some extra parts, but I don't know what I want to do with them yet, might keep them for spares.
