71 outside door handles
Does anyone know if the holes to bolt handles on are on an angle?I have bought 2 sets and the holes are on a 45 degree angle.This does not make sense because the handles are already angled.I would think the the bolt holes would be straight because the inside of door panel is straight.If you try to put bolts on the angled handles the bolts are crooked.These handles i bought weremade in Taiwan.Any ideas-or am i missing something!

That should be correct. The washer needs to stay parallel to the casting. WES

So in other words-the washer will be parallel but the bolt will be on an angle?

67 doors and handles were different.

Is there a chance you have 67 doors? The 67 handles had bolts going straight in and the doors had a plate in there to accept them. I don't think the 67 handles are reproed at all. I believe all the aftermarket handles would be the 68-72 style. (angle bolts.)

What does the bolt look like in the front hole?Looks like gm part is straight!

Both bolts are at a slight angle to be flush with the door stamping. You should have no issues bolting these right in.

OK-these look like the angle is not bad-they should work.Found out i can maybe stud it and bend with the angled handles.If this doesnt work i`ll be in touch!Thank you for the input!
