my 1967 GMC 5 lug disc/ drum swap
I started out with a 1967 GMC 3/4 ton 8 lug, drum/drum, manual sterring, manual brakes.I am doing a 5 lug disc/drum ps, pb and a 4 1/2 inch drop using CCP 2 inch lowering coils and McGaughys 2 1/2 inch drop spindles for the 1.25 rotors in the front and 6 inch drop in the back. The suspension I'm using came from a 1974 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. I decided to paint my interior a satin black and get rid of the orange interior in the process too. I still have a ways to go. So far I've got the front end assembled, power booster attached to the firewall and power steering gear box attached to the frame, the interior painted, weather stripping installed, and I shortened the steering column and painted it also. I still need to install my flip kit, new brake lines, run my vaccum for my power booster and install my power steering bracket, pulley and hoses. I have to replace my windshield too, but I found a rust hole in the dash right where the dash and windshield spot welds are so I'm going tear out the old non a/c dash and put an a/c dash when I replace the windshield. I found a whole dash out of a 1971 Chevy truck with the gauge cluster panel w/o tach and a/c heater selector unit still in the dash that I'm going to install. Heres a few pics.

This is a 1974 Chevy truck power booster, I had to cut some of the bracket off the top so it didn't stick up above the firewall and cut a notch out of the bottom so I didn't have to remove it if I wanted to change the steering column out in the future.

The last pic is with the front end done, but I still had a jack stand under the engine crossmember and jack stands in the back. It sits alot lower since I removed the jack stands. I have the ralley wheels on for now. I was hoping to go with the Boss 20 inch 338 but I hear that the 1.25 rotors cause a clearance issue with the suspension.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me or show me a picture of the power steering pump bracket I need to use and what pulley also. I have a 327 C.I.D. with a short water pump and I am wanting to use the 1974 Chevy Truck power steer pump.

I finally got the power steering on. I used a 1971 chevy 1/2 ton sbc power steering bracket, pump, pulley and power steering belt. The power steering gearbox is a 1974 3.5 turn quick ratio gearbox and I used the high pressure hose and low pressure fitting for the 1974 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. I had to change to a three groove crankshaft pulley and I did have to shim the pulley with a couple of washers so that it would line up. I also got the flip kit on and got it off the jack stands for first time in 2 month...finally. Now I needed to install the brake lines and lift up the exhaust and test drive it.
