Swapping front clips

ok, so im planning on by this october to finally after many months of hunting, i hopefully will be the proud owner of a 1970 c10 swb, a/c. granted 70 isnt my favorite year, i had completely forgot that my dads friend still had the truck. runs drives and doesnt look bad at all, minimal rust. so im getting to cash together right now to go buy it. here is my prob, im not a fan of the 70 front clips, i like 71 and 72 better, so my question is, what all do i have to change in order to run the grille/headlight setup from a 71/72. to me, it looks like the hood and fenders are the same, just the grille and headlights are different. but i wanted to ask experts. specs on truck- 70 c10 swb, pacer wheels, 350/350, original a/c cab, everything intact, got the nice side trim, 12bolt rear, runs and drives- couple spots of rust in floor. for $950, think its a good deal? im probably gonna get it in the middle of this oct. oh and can anyone tell me about the hood ornaments its got? i havent seen another truck on the internet with them, i think it looks cool.

Re: Swapping front clips

You can get away with just the grill and bumper, but the hood latch and (I think) the core support is different too.
The hood on a 72 has no hole for the badge too.
As for the hood ornament... not original.

Re: Swapping front clips

Is 70 CST appears to be a fully optioned truck by picture but in my opinion I like as it is.

And for you request. Do you need a hood latch, new outer grill, inner grill, bumper brackets, park lamps assembly and a set of new bezels if don't want the black ones.

Re: Swapping front clips

for right now im not gonna do too much, getting the truck home is my main goal, and get a new bumper, get rid of the insanely large tires and either get rid of the rims all together for some different ones or at least get lower profile tires for it because im probably gonna lower it 2/4. havent decided.
