Nice packaging technique for shipping fenders

I bought a pair of 67 OE fenders and had them shipped to me via Greyhound and wanted to share how damn well this guy packed them. Keep in mind there are two fenders in there and it only cost $90 cross country to ship them. Thought this would maybe help some of the buyers and sellers out there on the parts board shipping larger/heavier parts.

that looks nice. show pixs when u open it. any dents pop up and did he put peanuts in there.

That's how a fender member wancosc356 sold me was packaged, The edges had that thick structural cardboard on all the edges beneath the outer layer. I find members here tend to be very conscientious with their packaging,as a rule.


Sharpie shipped me a pristine fender,like new take off quality,in a plywood crate. Both via Greyhound with nary a scratch.

This greyhound shipping is new to me. How long have they been offering this? Is everyone happy with it?

I've shipped with them a few times. It's cheaper and they send larger items. Best part around here is hanging out with the homeless folks and occasional drug dealer while you wait in line for an hour.

Greyhound has been in the package business "forever".

Friends and I used to ship from Honest Charley's Speed Shop (Chattanooga, Tn.) to Columbia, S.C. via "GREYDOG" back in the mid '60's. Reasonable rates and reliable carrier. Especially good for large, bulky items like sheetmetal, headers, etc.

I've shipped a few things with them over the years and have no complaints. You can save ALOT of dough usually.

I'm in the process of shipping a large panel now. Fedex wanted $123 dollars. Greyhound is $62! How's that for some savings?

Only downside is the person recieving will have to go pick it up at the bus depot.

I got a GTO fender shipped to me (LOTS bigger than a truck fender) from AL to OR for $85.

UPDATE: I opened the fenders today and they survived without incident. Pretty cool the guy bolted them together at the bottom rear and the top center. Very happy and it was cheap and quick getting them here with Greyhound.

Now that wood crate is pretty slick! To me packaging says a lot about the person sending it.
