best carb and timing

well i got a 84 swb the motor stroked to be a 383 vortec heads hi rise intake and supposedly everything is forged inside cam sound like is just something mild if at that wanting to put something a lil louder but fornow my problem is my carb it messed up overflowing guessing floats are stuck im trying to get it timmied but with the overflowingit wont idle right what carb do ya think is best for this motor right now has 650cfm holley 4bbl no choke also if my balancer dont have the little sheet metal with the arrow that allows you to time it what would be the best way to do it or can you buy that lil sheetmeta

Punctuation goes a long ways. You can buy a timing tab, but you need to determine if TDC with you balancer is 12 o'clock or 2 o'clock. What carb is on it now? Clean the one you have and get it running correctly and go from there.

It's not a sentence because it hasn't ended yet. a rebuild on a quadra-jet would do you good and tune it to what is specified on your emmisions sticker.
