Where do you guys get the parts to restore your gauge clusters? I'd like to relace my lens, printed circuit and bezel.

Also, how can I test my tach to make sure it works? I have an hei distributor with a V-8.

you can get those parts from any of the vendors.
Personally, I would recomend trying to polish the lens with some waxes and cleaners. You can usually get the light scratches out with little effort. The repro lenses have taller and thinner numbers, and they are greener than the original. Always looked funny to me. But that's just my own personal opinion.

I restored my cluster with a bezel from Classic Parts (www.classicparts.com). They had the best price and the quality was fine.
As LHM said, you can clean up the lens pretty easily. Most of the scratches, etc are on the outside and the numbers are on the inside, so you can get fairly agressive if need be. I just used Windex, and it cleaned up nice.
I didn't change the printed circuit, so no help there.

I noticed the letters looked funny as soon as I took it out of the box yesterday. I'd use my original but a hole was cut for a tach. Now I wish I had bought a decent used one!

How do I test the tach with my HEI distributor?
