Another brake conversion question....

Well it's been a while since I've posted anything, and I'm glad to be back. I sold my suburban a while back, hence the absence. I recently purchased a really clean 65 long bed. The guy who built the engine did a great job, it makes tons of power, the truck just doesn't stop as well as it runs, it has manual drums all around.

I'm going to do one of the McGaughy's front disc kits. This just leaves the master and booster conundrum. I dug through the old 69 suburban parts pile and found the master, booster, and prop valve, still all bolted together.

My question is will this master and booster work for the 65 conversion? the suburban was all drum so I'm assuming I'll need at least a prop valve. Do I have to drill holes to mount the booster bracket to the firewall?

If the parts pile 69 burb was all drums, then the master cyl will not work, you need a disk/drum master cyl (it will have unequal size reservoirs - as opposed to a drum/drum setup which has equal size reservoirs).

If the rest of your setup won't work, you can buy something like a 75 imp master/booster combo (disk/drum) and Capt Fab's booster bracket.
