Need some steering linkage help on my 63!
Hey all my pops and I just recently replaced the entire front crossmember assembly (arms, steering linkage, everythin) to gain disc brakes
Everything went well we drilled what was needed but most of it was direct fit! Where we're stuck at is how to get the steering linkage hooked up! Here are a couple pics that might help. Any help would be greatly appreciated we need to get this beauty rolling again asap! Thank you

I think if you bolt that idler arm up to your frame on the right side....then yer 1/2 way there..
I need to look at the pic's again for the rest... You're not too far off.

You will have to drill holes to be able to bolt up the newer style idler arm. But you have to be sure to locate it in the right place. Sorry I don't have any dimensions for you. I usually just use the newer frame to take measurements from. Also if you mount your steering box, the position of the idler arm will locate the draglink parallel to the crossmember when referenced from the pitman arm on the steering box. You can use your original steering box, if you don't have your power box or the adapter yet.

Thanks for the info capt.! We got the power steering box from the 85 as well so we'll need your adapter to bolt it up to the frame correct?

Yes you will need an adapter to mount a power steering box onto the frame. I have them in stock and ready to ship. Send me a PM when you're ready.
