Cool 3/4 ton -vs- 1/2 ton question

okay so recently i have finally found out from 1000 miles away why my lower control arms will not center up on the k frame. and it left me thinking if Rock Auto really skrewed up the lower a arms or if the "holes" in the lower control arm shaft are spaced further apart on a 3/4 ton than they are on a half ton.

because thats why my lower a arms have to come off and i have to pressure wash, paint, put new bushings, and transfer the balljoints into my original lower control arms....

i would just switch the shafts but the way they are connected to the control arm is different than the original.

if yall recall from my build thread i had to modify the shock mounts to get the shocks to fit also. Rock Auto will be recieving a nasty letter from me once this is all resolved.

Re: 3/4 ton -vs- 1/2 ton question

1/2 ton will have rubber bushings in the control arm shafts and a washer and nut on the ends.

3/4 and 1 tons have steel bushings that thread on the end of the shaft AND into the control arm itself. it IS the nut and has a grease fitting in the center of the end.

This one is a 3/4 ton steel bushing.
