got a new engine!!!
picked up a non integral 250 last weekend for my 79 Chevy and I started tearing it down this week, dad took it to work a pressure washed it Tuesday and come to find out it was a Jasper reman engine. so I am not for sure how much it was bored over when it was rebuilt so I might end up using my 79's block and the non integral head, I plan on adding a set of 307 flat top pistons and shaving .030 off the head, larger valves, towing style cam, roller rockers, and an Offy 4bbl intake and a Holley 390 CFM carb.
when i got it home pre dissambly cleaned and disassembled

Re: got a new engine!!!
Sounds like a great plan. You'll get awesome power out of that six-popper.

Re: got a new engine!!!
You should do the head lump ports as well. The intake and carb are pretty much worthless without head porting.

Re: got a new engine!!!
Nice. I definitely like the hopped-up 6 bangers. They have such a neat sound with a split manifold and cherry bombs. Classic hot rod sound.
