a radiator from a 88-98 c-series chevrolet truck? How do you like it ? How does it cool? I bought one yesterday for my 70 c-10 and was wondering what ya'll think of yours before I can get mine installed. It was like a hundred bucks cheaper than the one listed for the 70.Thanks, guys for all the help on here.

Interesting option. I got a 2 row aluminum direct fit off ebay for less that $200. Painted it black to look stock though.

Will it actually fit in the rubber mounts?

I did what OJ above did. 2 row aluminum for under 200 bucks. Fits right in the 4 core rubber mounts I have. Cools a 400HP SBC 355 just fine.

The core size is the same as the old cooper and brass unit I pulled out. The parts store I called to price the radiator[witch I never do,as I have a radiator wholesaler that sell to shops that I normally use] at the chain store nearby, and my price for the 70 was 260 list 229 my price. The 90 model was like 179 list and 124 my price. One hundred bucks less and a better unit to boot[imo]. Of course next week when I fit iy up, I will take some pics

So it sounds like you're gonna do some fab work. Those radiators I believe have the plastic tanks on the ends as well. At least the one in the 1994 GMC I had did.

I believe the lower hose interferes with the frame. The angle is different and makes it hard to hook up a hose.

they fit, but you'll have to do some core support massaging. and the hose ID is different. i've got one in my pickup, and it cools fine, but it's not a drop-in.

Hugger, just curious what parts store quoted you this? I just had to get one yesterday; ordering online from Advance Auto for a 3-row was $153 for part number 433366.

That includes a 25% online ordering discount for radiators w/ free shipping though. Full price was $203.

I have one and it fit in the core support fine. A lower hose for an 86 clears the frame, and you will need a small section of hose for a bushing on the upper.

It was priced to me at O'riellys. I have never used them for a radiator, I normally call a company called Performance radiator formally Arkansas radiator. I have been buying my cooling stuf from them for 10-15 years and have found good prices. I did'nt expect to buy from the LAPS but it seemed so easy to have it here now.I will try to install tomorrow.
